These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Live355 and every bet placed at a Live355 shop. Please read them carefully. By placing a bet or taking a ticket, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted them, together with the Betting rules, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, which form part of this agreement.
1.Who we are
Live355 (live355.com) is a sports betting service. Bets are placed at Live355 shops, at the counter.
In this document “Live355”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of the Live355 service.
If you have a question about these terms, ask the manager of your shop or contact us. You can reach us at [email protected].
2.Key terms
- Shop: a Live355 betting shop, where bets are placed, winnings are paid and stakes are handed back.
- Manager: the person in charge at the shop, who takes your bet, issues the ticket and pays you.
- Ticket: the printed paper document the shop gives you when your bet is accepted. It shows your selections, the odds, the amount played and the possible win.
- Search code: the code printed on the ticket (and in its QR code) that anyone can use to look up the ticket’s status at live355.com/check.
- Payout code: the code printed on the ticket that is needed to be paid. It is never shown on the check page.
- Stake: the amount you play on a bet.
- Odds: the price of a selection, shown as a decimal number. Stake multiplied by the odds gives the total payout of a winning bet.
- Payout: the total amount paid on a winning bet, stake included. Winnings are the payout minus the stake.
- Accumulator: one bet that combines two or more selections from different events.
- Void: a bet that does not count, for example because the event was cancelled. A void bet pays nothing and its stake is handed back.
- Data provider: the third-party sports data service that supplies our events, odds and official results.
3.How Live355 works
Live355 is a counter betting service. You tell the manager what you want to bet on, pay the stake in cash and receive a printed ticket. You do not need an account and you do not give any personal data.
The Live355 website shows events, odds and results for information, and lets anyone check a ticket. The odds that apply to your bet are the odds printed on your ticket.
Online player accounts are available. The section “Online player accounts” applies to them.
4.Who can bet
You may place bets only if all of the following are true:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- betting on sports is legal where you are when you place the bet; it is your responsibility to check this, and we may refuse or void bets placed from a place where it is not;
- you are betting for yourself, with your own money, and not on behalf of anyone else, in particular not on behalf of a person under 18;
- you have not asked a shop to refuse your bets, and no court, authority or contract prevents you from gambling.
The manager may ask to see an identity document to check your age, and may refuse your bet if you do not show that you are at least 18 or if the manager has a reasonable doubt. Gambling by anyone under 18 is prohibited. If we find that a ticket was bought by or for someone under 18, the ticket is void and, as the law allows, only the stake is handed back.
It is your responsibility to make sure that betting is lawful where you are. A shop may refuse any bet, and any customer, without giving a reason.
5.Placing a bet at the counter
You tell the manager your selections and your stake. The manager enters the bet and, before accepting it, the system checks the current price with our data provider. If that fresh check cannot be completed, the market is closed, or the event has started in a way that no longer allows the bet, the bet is rejected and you do not pay.
- When a bet exists. A bet exists only when the shop has accepted it and the ticket has been printed and handed to you. Until then you may change your mind or walk away.
- Paying. You pay the stake in cash at the counter, in the currency of the shop, which is either Albanian lek (ALL) or euro (EUR). All stakes, limits and payouts at that shop are in that currency. We do not accept bets on credit and we do not lend money.
- Check your ticket before you leave the counter: the selections, the markets, the odds, the amount played and the possible win. If something is wrong, tell the manager straight away (see “Cancelled tickets”).
- No changes by you. Once a bet has been accepted you cannot change or cancel it. Only the shop can cancel a ticket, in the cases described below.
- Our right to refuse. We or the shop may refuse all or part of any bet before acceptance, and may limit the stake we accept, without having to give a reason.
- Types of bet. You can place singles (one selection) and accumulators (several selections from different events). Where selections cannot be combined, the manager will tell you.
- Your decision. Every bet is your own decision. You are responsible for checking the selection, market, line and stake before you pay.
- Records. Our system records of bets, odds, stakes and results are the evidence of what was accepted, unless they are shown to be wrong.
6.Your ticket
The ticket is a bearer document. Whoever presents the original ticket together with its payout code is paid. We cannot and do not check who the person is, because tickets are anonymous.
- Keep it safe. Look after your ticket as you would cash. Do not show, photograph or read out the payout code to anyone you do not want to be paid. Printed tickets can fade with heat and light, so keep yours somewhere dry and cool.
- No replacement. A lost, stolen, destroyed or unreadable ticket cannot be replaced, and we cannot pay a ticket without its original and its payout code. Copies, photographs and screenshots are not accepted.
- Not our responsibility. We and the shop are not liable for a lost, stolen or damaged ticket, or for a payout code that you have shown or given to others, including a payment made in good faith to the person who presented your ticket and code.
- Reprints. The shop may reprint a ticket, for example if the printer failed. A reprint is marked “RIPRINTIM”. It is the same ticket and the same bet, not a second one, and it is paid only once.
- Damaged or illegible tickets. The shop may refuse a ticket whose codes or selections cannot be read, or that appears altered, torn, copied or forged, and we may check it against our records before deciding.
7.Odds and price changes
Odds are shown as decimal odds. The odds that apply to a bet are the odds at the moment the shop accepts it, after the fresh price check, and they do not change afterwards. Odds shown on the website or on screens before that are for information only.
Prices move. If the price of a selection has changed before your bet is accepted, the shop will tell you the new price and issues the ticket only if you accept it. We never accept a bet at a price you have not been told.
Markets may be suspended or withdrawn at any time, for example during a goal or other key moment in a live event.
8.Stake and payout limits
These limits apply to each ticket, in the currency of the shop:
| Shop in lek (ALL) | Shop in euro (EUR) | |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum stake per ticket | 100 lekë | €1 |
| Maximum stake per ticket | 1,000,000 lekë | €10,000 |
| Maximum payout per ticket | 5,000,000 lekë | €50,000 |
If a winning ticket would pay more than the maximum payout, it is paid at the maximum payout.
We may also limit how much we accept on a selection, market or event (our exposure). A shop may therefore refuse a bet or accept a lower stake than the maximum, and lower limits may apply to particular events or markets; the manager will tell you before the ticket is issued. Splitting a bet into several tickets, in one shop or in several, to get around a limit is not allowed, and we may treat the tickets as one.
9.Live (in-play) betting
In-play prices and scores come from our data provider and may be delayed compared with what you see on television, at the venue or elsewhere. Do not rely on any other source to time your bets. Entering a live bet and printing the ticket takes time, so the price may change while this happens.
- Every live bet goes through the same fresh price check as any other bet. If the price changed, you are told and can decide whether to accept it.
- We may suspend markets without notice, and we may reject or void a bet that was accepted when the market should already have been closed, for example after a goal, a red card, a penalty award or the end of the period it relates to. In that case the stake is handed back.
- We do not guarantee that live scores, times or statistics are complete, accurate or uninterrupted.
10.Void, cancelled, postponed and abandoned events
If an event is cancelled, a bet on it is void and the stake is handed back by the shop that sold the ticket (see “Paying winnings and returning stakes”). The detailed rules are in the Betting rules. In summary:
- Postponed events: bets are void if the event is not played within 48 hours of its scheduled start.
- Abandoned events (started but not finished): bets on full-match markets are void, even if the outcome already looked decided when the event stopped. First-half markets are settled on the half-time score if the first half was completed, and are otherwise void.
- Accumulators: a void leg is settled at odds of 1.00 and the rest of the accumulator continues. If all legs are void, the stake is handed back.
11.Settlement and results
Bets are settled according to the official result supplied by our data provider, using the rules for each market in the Betting rules. A ticket is normally settled once the result is confirmed after the event ends. It is then either won, lost or void.
Once a bet has been settled we do not change it because of a later protest, appeal, disqualification or change of result by a sporting body, but we may correct a settlement that is wrong because of an error (see “Errors”).
Dead heat. If two or more selections tie for a result where only one (or fewer than the number of tied selections) can win, the dead-heat rule in the Betting rules applies: your stake is divided between the tied selections and only the share on your selection wins.
12.Checking a ticket
Anyone can check a ticket at live355.com/check by entering its search code or scanning the QR code on the ticket. The check page shows the status and result of the ticket. It never shows the payout code.
- The search code is not secret. Anyone who has it can see the status of the ticket, but cannot be paid without the original ticket and its payout code.
- The check page is for information. It may be delayed or temporarily unavailable. Payment is made on the basis of our records, which the shop checks when you ask to be paid.
13.Paying winnings and returning stakes
- Only the shop that sold the ticket pays. Winnings are paid only by the shop that sold the ticket, not by any other shop and not online. Present the original ticket with its payout code. Payment is made in cash, in the currency of the shop.
- Opening hours. Winnings are paid during the opening hours of that shop.
- 90 days to claim winnings. You must claim winnings within 90 days of the day the ticket was settled. After that the claim lapses and the ticket can no longer be paid.
- Void tickets: stake handed back. The stake of a void ticket (for example because the event was cancelled, abandoned or postponed) is handed back by the shop that sold the ticket, on presentation of the original ticket and payout code, within 14 days of the day the ticket was settled as void. After that the claim lapses.
- Paid once. When a ticket is paid or its stake is handed back, it is marked as paid in our system and cannot be paid again. A cancelled ticket pays nothing.
- Checks before payment. Before paying, the manager checks the ticket against our system. The manager may ask to see an identity document, and may delay or refuse payment if the ticket or the codes look altered or forged, if the ticket has already been paid, or if we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering or a breach of these terms (see “Prohibited behaviour” and “Checks, fraud and money laundering”).
- Count your money. Check the amount you receive before you leave the counter.
14.Cancelled tickets
The shop may cancel a ticket, for example if a mistake was made at the counter, such as a wrong selection or stake. If you notice a mistake, tell the manager straight away.
- When a ticket is cancelled, the stake is returned to the customer and the ticket pays nothing, whatever the result of the events.
- A cancelled ticket cannot be paid or brought back.
- A ticket that has been paid cannot be cancelled.
We may also void a ticket in the cases described in these terms, for example under “Errors” and “Prohibited behaviour”.
15.Errors
Mistakes can happen in prices, markets, lines, scores, results or settlement, for example because of a fault in the data feed, a typing mistake at the counter, or an obvious difference from the real market price (a palpable error). If this happens we may, acting reasonably and as soon as we find it:
- correct the price or the settlement of the bet to what it should have been;
- or void the bet and hand back the stake.
If you receive more than you are entitled to, for example because a payout was calculated wrongly, you must return the difference. We will not apply this rule unfairly to bets that were placed in good faith at a plausible price.
16.Responsible gambling
Gambling should be entertainment, not a way to make money or recover losses. We take the following steps:
- gambling by anyone under 18 is prohibited, and the manager may ask for identification;
- a shop may refuse a bet or a customer, in particular if the manager believes that play may be harmful;
- you can ask a shop to refuse your bets (self-exclusion by request at the shop);
- if online accounts are switched on, account-based limits, reminders, breaks and self-exclusion apply to them (see “Online player accounts”).
More information and sources of help are on the Responsible gambling page.
17.Prohibited behaviour
You must not:
- place a bet if you are under 18, or place a bet for a person under 18;
- give false information or show false or stolen identity documents;
- forge, alter, copy or tamper with a ticket or a code, or present a ticket that you know to be stolen, forged or altered;
- commit or attempt fraud, collusion or money laundering;
- use bots, scripts or any automation to collect prices, to guess search codes or payout codes, or to interfere with the website or its data feed;
- bet on events you can influence, use inside information, or take part in match-fixing or any attempt to manipulate a result;
- split bets to get around a limit;
- take advantage of an obvious error in prices or settlement;
- abuse, threaten or harass shop staff.
If we find or reasonably suspect any of this, we may void tickets, refuse or recover payment, refuse your bets in future, and report the matter to the authorities.
18.Checks, fraud and money laundering
We are required by law to prevent money laundering and fraud. For that reason the manager may ask to see an identity document and, where the law requires it for large amounts, information about the source of funds, and we may monitor activity at the shops. We may report suspicious activity to the authorities without telling you. If you do not give the information that is asked for, the shop may refuse your bet or the payment.
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
19.Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any right you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Subject to that, we are not responsible for: losses that result from gambling itself; lost, stolen or damaged tickets, or payout codes that you have shown to others; indirect or consequential loss; loss of profit or an expected win; or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as interruptions of internet or power, printer faults, faults in third-party data feeds, or maintenance. We do not promise that the website or the check page will always be available or free of errors.
Where we are responsible to you, our liability is limited to the direct loss you suffer, and in respect of a bet it does not exceed the amount of the stake and the payout that bet would have paid.
20.Complaints
If you are unhappy about anything, please tell us so that we can put it right. Keep your ticket, because you will need it for any complaint about it.
- Step 1. Speak to the manager of the shop where you placed the bet, who can often resolve things straight away.
- Step 2. If it is not resolved, contact us and give the search code of the ticket, the date and the shop involved. You can reach us at [email protected].
- Step 3. If you are still not satisfied after we have given you our final answer, you may refer it to the competent gambling authority in Albania or, if the shop is in Kosovo, in Kosovo.
We keep records of all complaints. Our system records of bets, odds and payments are the evidence of what happened, unless they are shown to be wrong.
21.Online player accounts
Bets can also be placed online, from a player account that a manager opens. The other sections of these terms apply to account bets as well (reading “ticket” as the bet shown in My Bets, and “payment” as a credit to the balance), together with the following:
- Opening an account. There is no public sign-up. A manager opens the account in person, checks your identity document and age (at least 18), and creates a username and password. You may have only one account, in one currency (ALL or EUR) that cannot be changed. The account is personal and must not be sold, lent or shared.
- Security. You are responsible for keeping your username and password secret and for everything done with your account. Never tell your password to anyone; we will never ask for it. If you think someone else knows it, change it and tell your manager or us immediately.
- Money. Money moves only through managers. Funds are credited after the manager confirms that they received your payment; a withdrawal is reserved at once, paid by the manager and then confirmed. Only your own money may be deposited, and balances earn no interest.
- Bets. The stake is taken from your balance when a bet is accepted, and winnings are credited to it. The limits shown on the website at the time apply to each bet.
- Safer-gambling tools. You can set deposit limits (daily, weekly or monthly) and a loss limit (over 30 days), get reality-check reminders, and take time-outs or self-exclude. A new or lower limit applies immediately; raising or removing a limit takes effect after 24 hours. Time-outs and self-exclusion cannot be ended early, even by us.
- Suspension and closure. We may restrict, suspend or close an account, void bets and withhold funds while we investigate, if we reasonably believe that these terms or the law have been broken or if we must do so by law. Any balance that is properly yours is paid out through a manager when the account is closed. You can ask your manager to close your account at any time; open bets are still settled.
- Personal data. The data we hold about an account is described in the Privacy Policy.
22.Your personal data
For counter betting we collect no personal data from customers. We handle any personal data we do hold as described in our Privacy Policy, and use only the cookies described in the Cookie Policy.
23.Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example to reflect a change in the law, in our service or in how we work. The “last updated” date at the top of the page shows the current version. We will tell you about important changes on the website before they take effect. Bets accepted before a change are still governed by the terms in force when they were accepted. If you keep betting after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
These terms are published in Albanian and English. If the two versions differ, the Albanian version prevails.
24.General and governing law
These terms and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Live355 are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania. Disputes that cannot be resolved through the complaints procedure are decided by the competent courts, without affecting any mandatory rights you have under the laws of Kosovo if you bet in Kosovo.
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to another company that takes over the service, and we will tell you if we do.
