Betting rules

Last updated: 14 October 2026

These rules explain how each type of bet is decided and paid at Live355 shops. They apply together with the Terms and Conditions. Football (soccer) is used for most examples; the same principles apply to other sports unless a market says otherwise. If a rule here and the name or description shown next to a market differ, the description of the market applies.

1.General principles

  • Bets are settled on the official result supplied by our data provider, which follows the result published by the organiser of the competition.
  • Odds are decimal. The payout of a winning bet is the stake multiplied by the odds; the winnings are the payout minus the stake. The odds that count are the odds printed on your ticket.
  • The “possible win” on the ticket is the stake multiplied by the odds. It is subject to the maximum payout per ticket in the Terms and Conditions.
  • Times are the scheduled start times printed on the ticket and shown on the site. The match “date” is the date shown in the local time of the event.
  • Unless a market says otherwise, results are based on the normal duration of the event only. In football that means 90 minutes plus the stoppage (injury) time added by the referee. Extra time and penalty shootouts are not included.
  • In case of doubt we apply these rules in a fair and reasonable way, and our decision on the interpretation of a market is final, subject to your right to complain (see the Terms and Conditions).

2.Match Result (1X2)

You bet on the result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time: 1 (home team wins), X (draw) or 2 (away team wins).

Extra time and penalty shootouts do not count. A market that includes them is named differently, for example “To qualify” or “To win the trophy”.

3.Double Chance

You cover two of the three possible results at once, over 90 minutes plus stoppage time: 1X (home win or draw), 12 (home win or away win) or X2 (draw or away win). The bet wins if either of your two results happens.

4.Draw No Bet

You choose the home team or the away team to win over 90 minutes plus stoppage time. If your team wins, the bet wins. If the match is a draw, the bet is void and the stake is returned. If your team loses, the bet loses.

5.Over/Under (Totals)

You bet on whether the total number of goals (or points, games or other units named by the market) is over or under a line, over the period named by the market (for football, 90 minutes plus stoppage time unless it says “1st half” or “2nd half”). Own goals count towards the total; goals in a penalty shootout do not.

  • Half lines (for example 2.5): there is always a winner. “Over 2.5” wins with 3 or more goals; “Under 2.5” wins with 2 or fewer.
  • Whole lines (for example 3): if the total equals the line exactly, the bet is void and the stake is returned.
  • Quarter lines (for example 2.25 or 2.75): your stake is split in two halves placed on the two nearest lines. For 2.25 that means half on 2 and half on 2.5; for 2.75, half on 2.5 and half on 3. Each half is settled by the rules above, so you can win one half and lose or get back the other.

6.Both Teams To Score

You bet on whether both teams score at least one goal over 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Yes wins if each team scored at least once; No wins if at least one team did not score. Own goals count for the team that is credited with the goal in the official result.

7.Handicap and Asian Handicap

A handicap gives one team a start or a deficit in goals before the match, to make the two sides more even. Your bet is settled on the final score after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, with the handicap added to the score of the team you chose.

  • Three-way (European) handicap, for example Home −1: the result can be a win for either side or a tie on the handicap. If Home is −1 and wins 2–0, the adjusted score is 1–0 for Home. A home win by exactly one goal ends tied on the handicap, which wins the “Draw” selection.
  • Two-way (Asian) handicap with a half line, for example Home −0.5 or Away +1.5: there is always a winner. Home −0.5 wins if Home wins the match; Away +1.5 wins if Away wins, draws or loses by one goal.
  • Asian handicap with a whole line, for example Home −1 or Away +1: if the adjusted score is level, the bet is void and the stake is returned. Home −1 wins if Home wins by two goals or more, is void if Home wins by exactly one goal, and loses otherwise.
  • Asian handicap with a quarter line, for example Home −0.25 or Away +0.75: the stake is split in two halves placed on the two nearest lines. Home −0.25 means half on Home 0 (a draw returns that half) and half on Home −0.5 (a draw loses that half).

8.Correct Score

You bet on the exact final score after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. If the market offers “Any other score”, it wins when the final score is none of the scores listed.

9.Half-time markets

Markets named “1st half” or “half-time” are settled on the score at the end of the first half, including the stoppage time of the first half and nothing after the half-time whistle. “2nd half” markets count only the goals scored in the second half, including its stoppage time.

  • Half-time result: the result at the end of the first half.
  • Half-time / Full-time: you must predict both the result at half-time and the result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Both parts must be correct.
  • Half-time totals and other half-time markets: settled like the full-time versions of the market, using only the first half.

10.Other sports

  • In sports where overtime or extra periods are a normal part of the result (for example basketball, ice hockey, American football and baseball), the main result markets include overtime unless the market says otherwise.
  • In tennis, volleyball, table tennis and similar sports, a match-winner bet is decided by the player or team that wins the match.
  • If a player or team withdraws, retires or is disqualified, bets are settled on the official result recorded by the data provider where the market has already been decided, and are otherwise void.

11.Live (in-play) bets

A live bet is a bet placed after the event has started. The same rules apply as before the event, with these points:

  • A live bet is settled on the whole market, not only on what happens after you placed it. If you bet on “Over 2.5 goals” when it is 1–0, the goals already scored count towards the total. A market that counts only what happens from a certain moment says so in its name.
  • Each bet is checked against a fresh price at the moment the shop accepts it. If the price changed, the shop tells you the new price and issues the ticket only if you accept it.
  • Live scores and prices come from our data provider and can be delayed. Markets can be suspended at any time.
  • A bet accepted after something has happened that decides or changes the market (for example a goal, a red card or a penalty), when the market should already have been suspended, may be voided and the stake returned.

12.Accumulators

An accumulator combines two or more selections from different events in one bet.

  • The odds of an accumulator are the odds of all its selections multiplied together.
  • All legs must win for the accumulator to win. If any leg loses, the whole accumulator loses.
  • If a leg is void (for example the event is cancelled), that leg is settled at odds of 1.00 and the accumulator continues with the remaining legs. If every leg is void, the stake is returned.
  • Where a leg is a half win or half loss (for example a quarter-line handicap), the half in play is carried into the accumulator at its odds, and the other half is treated as described for that leg.
  • The maximum payout per ticket in the Terms and Conditions applies to the whole accumulator.

13.Postponed, cancelled and abandoned events

  • Cancelled events: all bets on the event are void and the stakes are returned.
  • Postponed events: if the event is not played within 48 hours of its scheduled start, all bets on it are void. If it is played within 48 hours, the bets stand.
  • Abandoned events: if an event starts but is not finished (it is abandoned, or it is suspended or interrupted and not resumed within 48 hours of its scheduled start), bets on full-match markets, and on any market that needs the second half, are void, even if the outcome already looked decided when play stopped. For example, a bet on “Over 0.5 goals” is void even if a goal had already been scored. Bets on first-half markets are settled on the half-time score if the first half was completed; if the event stopped before half-time, they are void too.
  • In every case where a bet is void, the stake is handed back by the shop that sold the ticket, within 14 days of the ticket being settled as void (see the Terms and Conditions, “Paying winnings and returning stakes”). In an accumulator, the void leg is settled at 1.00.
  • A ticket cancelled by the shop (for example because of a mistake at the counter) is different: the stake is returned and the ticket pays nothing, whatever the result.

14.Results and settlement

  • We settle on the official result from our data provider after the event has finished. Settlement may take a short time after the final whistle, and longer if the result is not available.
  • A later change by a sporting body (for example after a protest, an appeal or a doping or disqualification decision) does not change bets that are already settled.
  • If the result or the settlement of a bet is clearly wrong because of an error, we may correct it. This includes obvious (palpable) errors in the prices, lines, scores or the result. See the Terms and Conditions, “Errors”.
  • When a ticket is settled as a winner, the shop that sold it pays the winnings within 90 days of settlement (see the Terms and Conditions, “Paying winnings and returning stakes”). Anyone can follow the status of a ticket at live355.com/check, using its search code or QR code.

15.Dead heat

A dead heat happens when two or more selections tie for a result in a market where fewer of them can win, for example two players tied for the top scorer. Your stake is divided by the number of selections that tied, and the part of the stake on your selection is settled at the full odds, while the rest loses. For example, if two selections tie for first place and you bet 100 lekë at odds of 5.00 on one of them, 50 lekë is settled at 5.00 and returns 250 lekë, and the other 50 lekë loses.
